Dr. Kim (Pozza) Tedder grew up in Los Angeles, in the Ventura County area. After graduating from Moorpark High School in 1996, she attended San Diego State University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She continued on to get her Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Tedder and her husband Dr. Taylor Tedder live in Moorpark, where they raise their two daughters Emma and Ava. In Dr. Tedder’s free time, you can catch her at the softball and soccer fields watching her daughters. She enjoys traveling with her family and is always looking for recommendations for new restaurants and breweries to explore.
San Dimas
Dr. James Abel, OD, earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, and Doctor of Optometry degree from the Arizona College of Optometry. He completed his internship at the Midwestern University Eye Institute in Glendale, Arizona, an ocular disease externship at the M&M Eye Institute in Prescott, Arizona, and a primary care externship in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dr. Abel has provided care for patients of all ages, from infants to centenarians. He is experienced in comprehensive eye care, pediatrics, and the treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Abel grew up in Chino Hills. For recreation, he enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and wildlife photography.
Bell Gardens
A native to Southern California, Dr. Jeanie Tran completed her undergraduate at California State University of Fullerton where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. She later completed her medical studies at Western University Sciences College of Optometry.
Dr. Tran began her career at a community health clinic and private practice before moving to corporate optometry in 2020. The early exposure from practicing in different settings allowed her to treat a diverse population of patients with special eye care needs. Today, Dr. Tran continues to service patients and their families within the local community. She is proficient in prescribing corrective lenses, with a special interest in fitting contact lenses.
Dr. Tran is a strong believer in education and charity and thus prioritizes her spare time to provide free care on a mobile eye clinic. She currently resides in the San Gabriel Valley and enjoys live music and vacationing with her family and two dogs.
Culver City
Dr. Catherine Lam earned her Honors Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. She then moved to Boston, where she graduated at the top of her class at the New England College of Optometry. During her time here, she developed a strong background in fitting contact lenses and eyeglasses. She is also experienced in the diagnosis and management of ocular conditions, having worked in diverse clinical settings such as private practices, community health centers, and Veterans Affairs hospitals.
Currently based in Los Angeles, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care with a focus on education, communication, and improving quality of life. Her patient-centered approach ensures that individuals are well-informed about their eye health and feel confident in expressing their needs. When she’s not looking at eyes, Dr. Lam is watching films, traveling, and eating her way through the culinary scene in Southern California.
Inglewood
Dr. David is a proud Gator who earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida. Having grown up in Mississippi, he knows a thing or two about southern hospitality and has always loved taking care of people and the community. He earned his Optometry doctorate degree from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, where he really found his passion for helping patients protect and preserve their gift of sight.
During his training, he often volunteered his time at children’s school screenings and made house visits to the elderly who had no transportation capabilities. His skills are well honed and he excels at treatment and management of ocular diseases, contact lens fittings, and the continuation of care for LASIK and cataract surgery patients.
Dr. David enjoys providing his services to the families here in Southern California where he now resides with his wife. In his free time, he loves to cook both southern and Vietnamese cuisine and enjoys hiking his way through California’s amazing nature trails!

With over 20 years experience serving the East Los Angeles community, Dr. Cherrie Sinson Tran specializes in comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease management, and dry eye care.
Dr. Sinson earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and then pursued a Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry.
With a reputation of a patient-first approach, Dr. Sinson has dedicated her career to providing high quality, personalized eye care. After more than two decades in private practice, Dr. Sinson looks forward to this new chapter with Opticore Optometry Group, where she will continue to offer exceptional vision care while utilizing the latest advancements in optometric technology.
Outside of work, she enjoys practicing pilates, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Optometrist
Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Christiansen is a dedicated optometrist based in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Christiansen began his academic journey at Pepperdine University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in pre-medicine. Passionate about eye health and patient care, he went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
With a comprehensive background in primary eye care, contact lens fitting, and the management of ocular diseases, Dr. Christiansen takes pride in providing outstanding eye care to his patients. He is commitment to staying up to date with the latest advancements in optometry.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Christiansen enjoys spending time in the outdoors, going to the beach, and hitting the gym.
OD
Dr. Coreeliza Sun brings a warm smile and sharp eye to every patient visit. A proud graduate of Southern California College of Optometry (Class of 2017), she's passionate about helping people see their best-and feel comfortable while doing it. Her clinical training took her coast to coast, from managing complex eye diseases at Kaiser in Denver, to supporting veterans' eye health in Yuma, Texas, to guiding patients through pre- and post-cataract care in Mt. Dora, FLorida. She wrapped up her clinical journey at Cal Eye in Pasadena with a deep dive into advanced surgical and disease care.
Before optometry, Coreeliza earned her bachelor's degree in Human Biology at UC San Diego-and even earlier, she spent her time making Disney magic as a cast member at the Happiest Place on Earth. These days, when she's not helping patients, she's off adventuring with her husband and two kids-often back at Disneyland, or exploring new destinations together.

Dr Angela Kwak was raised in the valley and is a Bruin. She graduated with a Biology degree from UCLA, and received her Doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. She loves exploring local eats and is passionate about animal rescue. Dr Kwak's office accepts most insurances and is a VSP Premier Provider.
